We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you participate in activities on our Website, you register for our Service or you express interest in obtaining information about us or our Services or when you otherwise contact us.
The personal information that we collect depends on the nature of your interactions with us. We may collect the following data during the respective actions:
If you access our Service, especially by visiting our website and web app we collect the following information without your intervention and store it until it is automatically or manually deleted in the log file:
- Log and usage data (like your device’s IP address)
- Device data (like information on your computer, phone, tablet or other devices that you use to access the Website & Service)
- Location data (like date and time of access or name and URL of the retrieved file, the website/app from which access was made (referrer URL)
If you conclude an agreement with Young Heroes (such as signing up for the web app we collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Information you enter yourself and that is generated during the use of our Services, such as residence, bio, education, work experience, languages, skills, interests, profile picture
- Comments, reviews, links, images that you share
How will we use your data?
The processing of the aforementioned data is based on Article 6(1) f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the uses listed below. At this point, we note that we are unable and do not attempt to draw any conclusions about your identity from the data collected.
Your information listed above are used by us for the following purposes:
Automatically collected data:
- To ensure that a trouble-free connection can be established
- To ensure the convenient use of our Services
- To evaluate system security and stability
- Other administrative purposes
Data shared when concluding an agreement:
- To match you with vacancies
- To match you with a coach
- To request feedback on Service
- To enable user-to-user communications on the web app

- To enforce our terms, conditions and policies for our business purpose, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or in connection with your agreement.
We will not sell or lease your information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We only disclose certain information to third parties from time to time to be able to offer the best possible product to our customers, improve the quality of our Services and protect the interests of our customers. However, this disclosure will always be subject to strict limitations, which are described in more detail below.
Teamleader
We use the services of Teamleader NV, Dok-Noord 3A, 9000 Ghent, Belgium (hereinafter “Teamleader”) to manage business-to-business contacts. Your contact information will first be sent to servers operated by Teamleader and electronically processed by Teamleader in order to be able to display and process it visually on an Internet-based overview page (“dashboard”).
We have agreed to a Data Protection Agreement with Teamleader to safeguard your privacy.
For this purpose, when you request more information from Young Heroes using our website, we send the following information to Teamleader:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company name
- Job Title
- The date and time of registration
Recruitee
We use the services of Recruitee B.V., Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam, Nederlands (hereinafter “Recruitee”) to manage applications. Your job application will first be sent to servers operated by Recruitee and electronically processed by Recruitee in order to be able to display and process it visually on an Internet-based overview page (“dashboard”).
We have agreed to a Data Protection Agreement with Recruitee to safeguard your privacy.
For this purpose, when you apply to Young Heroes using our website, we send the following information to Recruitee:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Address
- Phone number
- The date and time of application
- CV and other documents provided by you
Hotjar
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. We have agreed to a Data Protection Agreement with Hotjar to safeguard your privacy.
Sendinblue
To ensure smooth transactional communications with Art. 6(1) a) of the GDPR, we use the external service provider Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter “Sendinblue”). We use Sendinblue solely to send emails of transactional nature such as email verification, password resets, email changes.
We have agreed to a Data Protection Agreement with Sendinblue to safeguard your privacy.
For this purpose, when you set up a Young Heroes account using our web app, we send the following information to Sendinblue:
- First and last name
- Email address
- The date and time of registration
- Action required from your side
- How do we store your data?
We securely store your data in the Netherlands (Groningen, Amsterdam and Drachten) datacenters. The data stored at our servers are under Dutch privacy laws.
The data is stored in compliance with legally established data retention periods and then deleted. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by deleting data manually.
Newsletter & Product Updates
To design and continuously improve our customer engagement efforts in compliance with Art. 6(1) a) of the GDPR, we use the external service provider MailerLite Limited, 71 Lower Baggot Street, D02 P593, Dublin 2, Ireland, (hereinafter “MailerLite”). We use MailerLite to control our email marketing campaigns and to reach out to our registered users. For this purpose, when you set up a Young Heroes account using our web app, or you subscribe to our newsletter on the website, we send the following information to MailerLite:
- First and last name
- Email address
- The date and time of registration
If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, you can send us an email at info@youngheroes.com or use the unsubscribe option from MailerLite.
We have agreed to a Data Protection Agreement with Mailerlite to safeguard your privacy.
Cookies

Third-party cookies

Removing cookies from your device
